Ponta do Ouro Diving Tour| Description
Ponta do Ouro is 120km south of Maputo and was declared by authorities as a Marine Protected Area due to the large amount of marine life and for being a place where sea turtles go to lay their eggs.
Ponta do Ouro offers diving sites with depths that vary from 10 to 35 meteres, that are home to a very wide variety of marine life, including multiple species of sharks, dolphins, turtles, rays and countless reef life.
The most famous dive site is called Pinnacles and can be a 35 to 40 meter deep dive. The Pinnacle has become known for shark sightings mostly during shark season that starts in September and only ends in April.
